More listeners, listening for longer: Island FM sees big jumps in new RAJAR figures

The latest radio listening figures show Guernsey’s Island FM grow average listening hours by a huge 46% compared to last quarter.

Tindle Radio stations now deliver a combined weekly audience of 76,500 adults across the Channel Islands – up 1,500 compared to previous survey.

The latest RAJAR radio listening figures for Q2 2024 published today (Thursday 1st August) see Island FM in Guernsey grow audience, listening hours and market share – to the highest level since the pandemic.
 
Island FM now reaches 28,600 people every week – one in two of Guernsey’s population. Weekly listening hours have soared to 12 per listener,  the highest since 2022. Island FM now delivers the biggest market share (30.3%) of any radio station, BBC or commercial, in the British Isles.
 
Tindle stablemate Channel 103 in Jersey has maintained its 53% reach – the highest reach percentage of any station in RAJAR survey.

RAJAR is the independent survey which tracks listening for both commercial and BBC stations. This release covers the period concluding June 2024.
